When
Lister's owner died he was signed over into the care of the Feilding SPCA.
At 9 years old his age was against him finding a suitable home
and he also had to lose a bit of weight.
Not long after putting his picture on the website we had a phone
call from a
family in Auckland who were looking for an older dog.
He was adopted and his new family think he is a real sweetheart.
Lister is taken for daily walks at the beach so the extra weight
is no longer a problem. His new owners already had a dog but that
was fine
as the two of them became
great friends and he is never lonely.
Lister has really found heaven as he soaks up the sun in his
favourite place.
A happier dog would be hard to find

I saw
Lister's photo' on your success stories, and thought that you
might like an update.
It doesn't
seem possible that we have had him for two years. He is eleven
now.
Lister is a
lovely natured little boy, so loving. The only time I have a fight
with him is when I cut his nails!!!!
He loves
the beach, and has two walks a day.
He gets on
very well with Giggsy as long as he remembers that Giggs is the
boss!!!
If love
will keep him alive he will live forever.
He's a
sweetheart.
