Dear
Staff at the Feilding SPCA,
We
thought it was time to update you on Ellie the Labrador's
progress in
her new home.
When we picked Ellie up from the vet 6 weeks ago after she
had been spayed she was very timid and underweight. We had a
nice comfortable bed prepared for her and she seemed to know
it was hers straight away. She had a quiet night and slept
well and next morning gradually gained in confidence enough
to explore her new home. Her trips outside being only of
necessity and very fleeting.
We set her feeding program on 3 smallish meals daily to
allow her to cope and to build up her weight.
With quiet patience we gained her confidence very quickly.
We are now really pleased to say that she is looking in
great order weight wise and is very much at home.
She loves to go for walks both on and lead and also off the
lead where that is possible. She also loves to travel in the
car and has made the back seat her own. She is very well
behaved, very loving and is an absolute delight.
Thank
you so much for allowing us to adopt such a wonderful young
animal.
We look forward to having many years of pleasure caring for
her.
Our kind
regards
Lorraine & Brian
