Hi,
Now that
I have two beautiful dogs from Feilding SPCA I thought I
would let you know how they are getting on. Buster the black
Labrador retriever came to live with me just before
Christmas 2006 and is an absolute pleasure to be with. He
has settled in brilliantly and has learnt lots of new jobs
like bringing in the mail and carrying the horses' feed
bucket in from the paddock when they have finished their
feeds. He is most definitely a retriever by nature as well
as by name! He is also always ready with a 'present' of a
shoe or anything else that he can spot to greet you with
when you get home!
Hairy
McLary (originally 'Chase' a Tibetan x Fox terrier) came to
live with Buster and me in October 2007 and is also settling
in well. He is only one year old compared to Buster's seven
but you would think that they were both puppies the amount
that they play together! They get on brilliantly (I took
Buster back to the SPCA to 'choose' his new friend and that
seems to have been a good move!) and snuggle up together in
their new double bed, as you can see in the photo. We have
been doing lots of training with wee Hairy and he is
gradually learning 'the rules'. To start with he was a
little surprised that it was not OK to jump up on the table,
sofas and beds but he seems to have the hang of it all now
and generally manages to keep his feet on the floor!
Thank
you so much for these two wonderful friends.
Warm
regards,
Catherine
